Bartenders that are good and work in a busy place can make a ton of money, but with SARS-COV-2 afoot, not many bars are very busy.

It is hard to say what their situation is, but my guess is they don’t have a lot of money, the living in a hotel with his line of work is the giveaway. If they were rich and living in a hotel, some super-rich people actually do that (Howard Hughes was the most famous example, but some PRO athletes have done it also).
