Just because he did the minimal correct thing for once. If it weren't for last week's riot he'd probably be showing up for it.

If it was awarded a few months ago he would have accepted.

He should be applauded because he did the default right thing to do? The guy is a cheat. And he is kind if a dick too. He didn’t take that medal because taking it would be terrible for his image. Can’t stand him.

BB have cancelled this acceptance? We'll never know the answer to that counterfactual question, but we do know this: it was announced a long time ago that BB would be getting the medal, and he didn't pull the rip cord until just now.

The fact that people died is not the sole reason Trump is a piece of shit, a stain upon our country and a disgraceful degradation of it's history -- including the history of that medal which BB cites in his brief statement.

BB remains a self-serving ass, imo.

Just goes to show a double standard & that hurts when you see it in a house you have belonged to for a long time.

and I'm talking about pre-Medal of Freedom refusal. He has a purpose in projecting the manner he does...it keeps the assholes away! Bill can't be bothered by those who don't come prepared, whether it's on the field or in the pressroom, and he'll let you know it. But he's a person who expects competence and perfection. He's actually a helluva nice guy, with a great sense of humor.

The fact that Bill rejects tRump's "honor" comes as no surprise. Bill is a Patriot in more ways than one, and he knew to do the right thing.

On the other hand, I will give him credit for doing the right thing here.
