It's sad that so many people exclaim "first amendment" when it doesn't apply to any private enterprise at all.

Why do you think there's suddenly some confidence that 67 senators would vote to convict? It's because the private deep-pocket funders of GOP campaigns have said they're not giving any more money to those that encourage the terrorists. Amazon, Microsoft and others de-platform them. Twitter & Facebook terminate their accounts. Book publishers cancel contracts. Nobody wants to stand out as the money behind a terrorist movement.

all about private industry, deregulation, and free markets and all. Amazon, Twitter, and Apple are private companies. So the Trumpanzees should deal with this situation by choosing not to do business with them. Don’t use Apple products. Don’t go on Twitter or patronize Amazon.

But no, they prefer to try to tell private companies how to run their businesses.

Because they are effing hypocrites with no values.
