Rep. Pramila Jayapal Tests Positive for COVID After Capitol Lockdown

Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-WA) has tested positive for COVID-19, linking her catching the virus to being locked down in the U.S. Capitol as it was stormed in scenes of violence last week.

Jayapal spoke of being placed in a secured room as the events unfolded on January 6 with other lawmakers, and alleged "numerous Republican lawmakers recklessly refused to wear masks" amid the riot.

"Too many Republicans have refused to take this pandemic and virus seriously, and in doing so, they endanger everyone around them," Jayapal said in a statement.

"Only hours after President Trump incited a deadly assault on our Capitol, our country, and our democracy, many Republicans still refused to take the bare minimum COVID-19 precaution and simply wear a damn mask in a crowded room during a pandemic—creating a superspreader event on top of a domestic terrorist attack."

11. COVID infection caused by ignorant Republicans

I was enraged when viewing the video of a Democratic Congress women attempting to pass out the face masks in that enclosed space to maskless Republicans during the insurrection. It was their smirking facial expressions as they refused to accept them that pissed me off. I guess they wanted to show solidarity to their toothless booger eaters attacking the Capitol.

Apparently there is no rule in place to making it illegal to not wear a mask in the chamber. Now there is per house leader Pelosi. The Congress people bunched up in small space, an ideal scenario for a super spreader event. Now 2 or 3 members tested positive with one having a history of cancer and being older too. She is vulnerable, but these selfish assholes could have cared less.

Come to find out, the standing lady at the end of the table was Qanon freshman congress person Boebert from Colorado. The one with the extensive rap sheet. How in the hell did she get elected? Must be dirtbag city, Colorado. She's gotta go.
