...unlike last time, where I got a US Treasury check, I got a VISA "Economic Impact Payment Card," which is, of course, rigged to siphon off $$$ to Corporate Fucks.
To use it, I had to go through an email confirmation activation
After I did that, I went to a local ATM to get the cash, but instead, got charged 25 cents for using the corporate atm, by unwittingly being prompted into "verifying" the dollar amount of the card.
And I got no cash, because they don't give out that much cash.
Now my stimulus is worth $599.75.
Multiply that .25 cents x hundreds of millions...grift to the corporations.
Anyone else notice this?
I would prefer the US Treasury Check.

(1,968 posts)It will not let me finish registering. I merely wanted to transfer the money into my checking account, but I guess I will have to pay the "user fees" in order to get it.
So someone is getting a few dollars from millions of Americans. After a few millions of Americans have used their card, someone will have made millions upon millions of dollars.

(18 posts)I spent an hour trying to register and than could not pass the security questions that I chose and answered for them: it just kept bouncing me back and asking me to pick other security questions in case I forgot my password. I definitely preferred the check from the first stimulus payment.
