Trump is a complete sociopath, among other likely disorders. He's made it abundantly clear. Of course, he didn't care what happened to anyone trapped in the building. He's not capable of it. Certain things seem to 'squick' him and he's demonstrated being a coward when it comes to personal physical violence, but that's a long way from feeling empathy and compassion.
