Sen. Schumer tells senators there will be an all-senator briefing on inauguration security today

From CNN's Ali Zaslav

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer notified senators today that will be an all-senator virtual briefing on inauguration security this afternoon with briefers including representatives from Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security and the Secret Service, a senate source familiar with the matter tells CNN.

The call is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. ET, according to this source.

The briefing was first reported by NBC.

Any insurrection sympathizers and those who opposed the certification process.

Really, the briefing should just say "Republicans are excluded from the undisclosed Inaugural location."

ain't gonna happen. if anything, they will get more detailed briefings than the dems.

Besides, this is a general session briefing, meaning it isn't secure. They won't be disclosing any classified details, just a general sense of preparedness.

It all makes zero difference though. The asshats who were in place on 1/6 are still mostly there (except for two resignations of sergeant at arm posts).

The chain of command that existed on 1/6 is largely still in place. They can thwart any and all plans.
