Romney "won" the debate, whilst threatening Big Bird's very existence?

What kind of country do we live in?

Education is an economic issue, more than anything and kids are our future - including the ones who can't afford cable TV or even afford a TV at all - those who watch public television and go to public schools. Rmoney doesn't get that. That's what his idiotic Big Bird comment told me. The guy is a frigging idiot. He can count beans on a corprat bottom line but he cannot run a country when he does not understand this particular economic principle. He doesn't GET it.

Not everyone's parents can afford to send their children to Cranbrook in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan like dimMitt's parents did.

He's another example of an "entitled" rich kid like W who was born on third base and thought he hit a triple!

LOTS of people think they are entitled to LOTS of things: income tax loopholes; offshore bank accounts; car elevators. But woe be unto those who think they are entitled to food, medical care, and housing! WWJD?

Oh, and this thingy ..

The thing that really got me about mittnocchio's 47% vid was the hostility with which he spewed the words "entitled to food housing, you name it" You got to be one sick motha phucker to resent people being fed.

the blatant assholeishness of criticizing "entitlements", when Romney is such an entitled prick.

So turn Sesame Street into a defense contractor and make Big Bird it's CEO.

Problem solved, what'd I win?

The main argument I keep getting (from people who should - and used to - know better!) is that every worthwhile show on PBS would be picked up by a network and do just fine without our paying for it. They think that's especially true for Sesame Street. I point out that Sesame Street uses zero PBS funds and PBS, itself, uses a very small piece of the budget. Then I get ***crickets***. No changed minds, just silence.

You just can't fix stupid.
