The simple fact is that what “Blue Lives Matter” really means is “Non-White Lives DON’T.”

I shouldn't have put it out there, now nobody else will use it. It came from noticing long ago that lots of Recs without accompanying Kicks or Replies that Kicked would let a thread sink like a rock despite being well regarded. Just a tidbit of history.

If a thread is informative, interesting, original, and not by a nut, it's worth a K&R.

"Blue Lives Matter" was never anything but an opportunist way to attack the left. One that we helped along, honestly.

Right wing extremists have murdered hundreds if not thousands of police in this country over the years. They wanted to position themselves to get centrist "normie" voters on their side and making yourself the "law and order" party or the ones on the side of the police is a real nice way to do that. Of course the first time the cops get in the way of what they want they don't mind killing them.
