Lying has consequences.
The longer the liar is not checked, the greater the repercussions.
We are living through a particularly dramatic example of the consequences of permitting a liar to do so freely.
Add in the "Grievance Politics" that permits all evils to be laid at the feet of a convenient, easily identifiable boogeyman and we come to this place.
When you can dehumanize a group, replacing a person with a pejorative label, then any abuse can be rationalized.
Dark times are ahead, unless the absurdities can be dragged out into the light and shown for all to see. It may be too late.
I refuse to surrender to despair. I will fight the forces of ignorance and hatred to my dying breath.
I will not give up.
I will fight.
I will rage against the dying of the light.
Who will join the battle?
Drag the perpetrators out from beneath their rocks and expose their crimes to the world for the well deserved punishment.
