The definition of patriotism is going to be tested.

Too many Americans have false ideas of what freedom, liberty, and patriotism are. Many think it means freedom to discriminate, liberty to ignore laws, and celebrating the 4th of July while wearing American flag boxers. They prattle on about the "founders" without realizing that the Constitution is a liberal document, and people came to America to escape the types of oppression these false patriots support.

Patriotism is about to get tested. People will get to prove if they mean what they say and if they live by "patriotic" American values. Patriotism, when it doesn't matter, doesn't count. So voting not to burn flags isn't patriotism. The vote is meaningless because the Constitution protects flag burning. Voting for the defense budget isn't patriotism. The defense budget, on the whole, is not controversial.

Do you know what patriotism is?

Getting beaten to death to protect the Capitol from people you agree with politically.
Making a statement about how people in your party will not win if they seek to overthrow the government.
Announcing that you will impeach the president of your own party well before most have figured it out.

If you're reading this while planning to attack the US government, you're not a patriot.
If you're reading this while building a bomb or buying a gun to use against political opponents, including those in your party, you're not a patriot.
If you're a Boebert style disgrace that provides material support to people that want to overthrow the government, you're not a patriot.

Let's make this clear. If you want to go to war with the US because you were fooled by Trump, hate political officials, hate free speech, or any other reason, you will lose. You can do your best to turn the US into Syria. You're not the Syrian resistance in this story. You are ISIS. You're a bunch of extremists that can do damage, but you're ultimately wrong, and you will lose (and those around you will suffer for it). You will go down like the other trash this world has had to suffer. Why? Because you oppose American values as defined by the Constitution. You might choose to go ahead with your false revolution with your collection of traitors. Just know that more people love America and will fight for it than those who want to go to war with it.

Who own's the term? Why have Republican's claimed ownership when they are fighting for a Monarchy?

That's the limit of their attention span. Which is too bad, because they'll never fully comprehend how deviously out of touch with reality they are.
