I wouldn't be able to get a job anywhere with this rap sheet... and she's in congress?? How??

How the fuck can a person like this get elected into Congress?

What about the state secrets that we entrust these people with? Security clearances? Never should they pass any clearance let alone giving the chance to be considered.

Lauren Boebert and Hubby's rap sheet.😡🤬🖕

It is capable of sending both normal citizens and felonious trash to represent them in Congress. She doesn’t sound like the type to work a lot for the people of her district, though.

snip...

According to two Pueblo retired military veterans who have formed a political action committee opposing Boebert’s candidacy, the congressional candidate didn’t actually get her GED degree until May of this year, about a month before the June primaries and five months after entering the race.

That group, RuralColoradoUnited.org, says it’s been looking into Boebert’s background and is troubled by what it sees. The group was formed by Pueblo residents George Autobee and Stephen Varela, who describe themselves as combat veterans.

“Nothing about Lauren’s story is true,” Autobee said in an email. “She is not who she says she is. She has had multiple failed businesses, doesn’t pay her taxes, breaks the law frequently, and will do or say anything to get in the spotlight. She has told countless lies on the campaign trail, and we cannot afford this circus in Congress.”

snip...
Court records also show that from 2011 to last year, Boebert had been cited for numerous traffic offenses in Garfield, Clear Creek and Larimer counties, including speeding, following too closely to another vehicle, driving with expired license plates and several citations for failure to use a seatbelt and failure to use proper child restraints.

How does someone like this make it into the halls of Congress? There needs to be basic standards. L

Like you should not be a criminal and that you should have to have enough of an education to understand how government works. I cannot believe that this woman has an actual seat in the H of Reps. It just blows my mind.

I was charged with a misdemeanor years ago, and thought at the time, "Well, I can forget any future position in public office now. I'd be so embarrassed to have it publicly scrutinized anyway."

Yet she obviously doesn't care! No shame!

There's some petty stuff in there but "Careless Driving" is a common plea down for DUI's. Few people have 1 let alone 2. In my state even careless driving is a suspension or restriction of driving privilege's for 6 months. Seatbelts etc obvious I can do whatever I want attitude, but included was child restraint violation? That's a restriction on driving privilege's in my state for 6 months AND mandatory driver education classes AND potential criminal charges depending on the circumstance. 3 failed to appear charges?. Those are fucking bench warrants where I live.

I get where this district is in CO, I lived in Ft. Collins for a year. I've got a feel for CO politics and some districts can be small town politics but that district has 3/4 of a million people with a fairly large Latino community. Being of Latino decent I can guarantee you if I had a rap sheet like that there, or anyplace else I've lived in this country, my ass would've been incarcerated at the very least and a financial burden imposed on me that would take years to crawl out from underneath.

My point is as I didnt follow the election there that closely, did the Dems bring this up forcefully? Hell did Critter bring it up?

I smell money and priveledge for some sickening white trash.

I don't think you know Colorado as you suggest and as one who DOES, I want to clarify for others.

This woman is from Rifle, Garfield County--232-272 miles (depending on route) away from Fort Collins on the western slope of Colorado. The western slope of Colorado is known for libertarian politics. Fort Collins is the most northern-most major city of the front range in Larimer County and the home to Colorado State University delivering a generally liberal political climate consistent with Denver to the South and Boulder to the Southwest.

A world away in political terms.

No DL, no proof of insurance, multiple traffic violations, etc, as well as failure to appear for some of those violations.

As if the laws don't apply to her and the courts have no authority over her.

Yet she wanted to hold federal office.

She aligns herself with Qanon.

She supports insurrection.

The call is coming from inside the house.
