and of election denialism. It irks them that in many of these swing states black/brown voters in big cities were the decisive margin that put Biden over the top. To the MAGAts such votes should not count at all, hence their sense (without evidence) that the election was fraudulent.

11. You strip out all the excuses . . .

you come up with what Joy Behar said: this is about race, the changing demographics in the country, the fear of about 30-35% the white population that they're being 'overtaken'. And yes, they discount the vote of minorities, as well as all others who won't get on the hate train. And even if they did/do? They'd be quickly pushed off once the 'mission' was completed. Why? Because authoritarian/fascist groups always, always need a scapegoat, a vessel for all sins, mistakes, oversights and lack of success. Just as important to remember is that groups that hate on black and brown communities will just as easily hate on Jews, Catholics, Muslims, gays, etc.

Despite everything the seditionists claim or whine about, this is the bottom line. There should be no surprise that many white supremacists use the hashtag #whitegenocide#.

We get on the other side of this debacle, this will be the ugly bullet we've escaped by a hair. We better be damn well sure we never, ever forget what's happened or those who tried to push this ideology on the rest of us.

Because if we don't remember this moment? God help us all!
