I had surgery in July 2020, on the day of surgery, we had met our out-of-pockets responsibility and should not have been charged, but the hospital demanded $2,000 before they would do the surgery.
We have been trying to get a refund since that time. Each call is an endless list of excuses and a game of we can't talk to you about this.
I just wonder how many patients they do this to.

Healthcare is the fault of hospitals over charging, not insurance companies. Hospitals are creating monopolies.
