Question for DU lawyers.

Most of the time I can google some info, but not this time.

Assault and battery. Could one be charged and convicted in this situation? If a person in a public place, not wearing a mask and closer than 6 feet, is ask to please move back and they refuse. Can I pull out a can of Lysol spray and spray it up and down between us?

asking for friend.

It was during one of those anti-masker 'flash mobs'. I'm not sure if he actually sprayed or was just threatening to, but I'm pretty sure he was serious about doing it.

And the person being sprayed could legally assault you because they have no idea what they are being sprayed with. A cop is not going to be amused by what you propose to do.
