While Richard Burr's Senate committee verified the Russian interference in 2016 election and suspicious Trump campaign official contacts and even referred Don Jr. for possible perjury over his Senate testimony, the Repub DOJ and Senate was never able to confirm wrongdoing by Hunter Biden but instead the allegations fell apart with all indications that it was a Russian hacking/misinformation attempt to falsely smear Bidens.
