I am totally pissed that the Madman-in-Chief's antics have taken all the focus off Biden...

...and his incoming administration. Usually, during transitions, the news is full of speculation, rumors, and leaks about what the new President will do, will not do, who will be appointed to his government, what about Congress, what about the Supreme Court, what about our allies, etc, etc, etc... There has of course been some of that. But Trump's madness, and that of his followers, culminating in the Day of Infamy and all that's happened since, has pushed the actual President-elect to the back of the newscasts. Today's speech by Joe was a very good sign, and I'm glad so much of the media covered it live. But this period of transition has always been both substantive, and frankly fun to watch, whether you're Eagerly Looking Forward--when it's your party--or Viewing With Alarm--when it's the other party. And while it in itself is relatively low on the list of Trump's crimes and misdemeanors, I'm still bitter at him for depriving us, to some extent, of our transition...

He'll slither off to Florida, with no access to social media. From then on, the only time we'll hear about him is when he's held accountable for his actions. He may try to change that by holding a rally, but that will make him look more pathetic.

But with the Trump insurrection week we have been saved any other crazy shit Trump could have done this week like start a war with Iran for example. Not much for Trump to do now but to go his pardon barrage.

Let the impeached twice first term have his last hurrah. Takes the spotlight from what’s really going on...imo. This Biden adm has been on it for a long time..I’m just a spectator...but I bet for a long time. They have studied him well n I think they have been on the mark this whole time. After that, we’ll see 45 on the cover of jail journal or some shit mag

more insane than ever, the GOPers in Congress look more craven than ever, and some of them might be complicit in the invasion of the Capitol. All of them look absolutely terrible, and when Biden takes over on Wednesday the contrast will be startling - in a very good way.

No one is obsessing right now about his tiniest decision. He'll get plenty of coverage soon.
