That's why he'd be smiling. That's exactly what he wants.

So that plan rather quickly fell apart, and the investigations are beginning.

Trump may have time to pull off one last stunt. Remember: Humanity means nothing to Trump.

He'll want the National Guard, stationed at the Capitol Building, to turn around and attack the inauguration. Or have one of his worshippers in uniform spray the balcony with a clip from his rifle.

I hope his aides are leaning into the door to hear his phone calls. He's crazy enough to try anything.

7. Another point: where were the kids?
Fri Jan 15, 2021, 09:36 PM
Jan 2021

For the BLM protests this past summer, a lot of people took their kids, and a lot of teenagers were there. I don't mean the nights that turned into riots, but the day marches, the gatherings. There were a lot of kids. People posted Facebook pics with their kids. Teenagers got together and went to the marches.

If the walk to the Capitol was supposed to be peaceful, and was supposed to be just viewing some historical "debate" with the Congress, where were all the kids? I've seen a lot of pictures from the Capitol, and the crowd that went to the Capitol but didn't go in as well. There aren't any kids. No teenagers, no tween, no bored nine-year olds, no strollers. There aren't any kids. Why?

As I understand it, the guy who posed with the lectern has five kids - five - and they were even reportedly at attendance at the White House speech (maybe). But they didn't go to the Capitol, to witness this historic event? Not even the oldest, who must be at least nine (there are five of them!). No. The doctor wife and kids peeled off, and Mr. Johnson went to the Capitol solo. Why?

Where were all the kids one would expect to bring to a historic event in DC?

They weren't there, because everybody who went knew damn well what was going to happen at the Capitol, and even these miscreants were not going to expose minor children to that. It's very clear. If you hear any one of these people say "We went to the Capitol expecting a peaceful protest, a historic event," ask them one simple question: why weren't there any kids there, then?

The White House is THE most secure place on earth for the president. If he is anywhere in DC and something happens, the all-out goal is to get him back to the White House, for that reason.

The White House is very different than the Capitol, which is a large public place and not nearly as defensible as the White House.

I'm sure that Secret Service and the military was prepared to evacuate him on a few seconds notice if it was determined that the White House was in the least bit danger of being breached.

I don't think this particular argument has merit.

Had Bush been in the White House on 9/11, he would have stayed there. He was "hauled around in the air" that day because it wasn't considered safe for him to fly back to DC. As soon as it was deemed safe to return to DC, he was taken straight to the White House.

As I said, there are numerous reasons to believe that Trump knew he wasn't in any danger because he was aware of what was going on, but the fact that he wasn't evacuated from the White House isn't one of them.

A president wouldn't be evacuated from the White House in such a situation. It's the most secure place on earth and only under the most drastic situation - for example, an imminent nuclear strike, - would the president be moved off of the premises.

I believe there is a volume of evidence proving that Trump was complicit in and expected this event, but the fact that the president wasn't evacuated to a remove location isn't among it.

Bunker Boy went to the bunker because protesters were outside the White House. What was the event? The unjust murder of George Floyd a few days before in Minnesota. Floyd was killed in cold blood by Minneapolis police.

https://www.cnn.com/2020/05/31/politics/trump-underground-bunker-white-house-protests/index.html

On May 29th Chump, Melania and Barron were taken to the secure bunker under the White House by Secret Service agents to protect the first family, even though no protesters were violent or carrying weapons. There were approximately 500 or 600 people outside White House grounds, and they were shouting and waving protest signs but they never entered the White House grounds.

In contrast, the protest/insurrection of January 6th numbered several hundred thousand people, who were violent and carrying bombs, tear gas and firearms. They also carried flagpoles and fire extinguishers that were used as weapons. The insurrection continued well past the curfew of 6 p.m. however long before then, people had broken windows and doors and had trespassed into the U.S. Capitol. Legislators' lives were threatened, and 5 people were killed. Meanwhile at the White House, the secret service made no move to put the Chump family into the secure bunker.

but the whole slam damn family was standing around a TV watching it all unfold as if it were some kind of party! Dancing and smiling and high fiving and he was grinning from ear to ear - no concerned look on his face.

Why, it was almost as if this whole event was planned to happen just like it did!

Trump is guilty as sin but the white house is the safest place to be. Underneath it there is a command center bunker designed to withstand nuclear attacks and pretty much everything else. It is the safest place to be.
