Sherlock Holmes, in "The Adventures of Silver Blaze", shrewdly deduced that a horse had been stolen by someone familiar to the household since the dog which was "on guard" did not bark at the thief. A "negative fact" was used to lead to prove a positive fact.
I have not heard or read ANY explanation, good or otherwise, of why several Republican Representatives conducted groups of unknown persons on a tour through the Capitol the day before a mob invaded the building and some of them appeared to know where certain offices were and how to access concealed passageways. These "tour guides" should be required to provide names and contact info for everyone in their tour group as a BEGINNING of the thorough investigation of them and their staff. If they will not consent to searches of their offices, phones and other digital devices, warrants should be sought.
Anyone with an innocent explanation would have certainly come forward with it by now.
