gave me some real hope. It was so encouraging to hear from a real expert who knows what he's doing. As FDA head during the AIDS epidemic he was the guy who managed the development of effective treatments, along with drug companies and the AIDS community - he talked about working with states and industries and other agencies and doing everything they possibly can. We will be reminded that government can actually work.

And I was so pleased to hear him say - after Rachel complimented him for his actions - he corrected her and said "no, WE did it". In other words, he was giving credit to his team, not just taking credit for himself.
I am so encouraged too!! Thanks for posting this.
