My friend Laurie says the vaccine supply is in real trouble...

Pfizer has announced a cutback in production as it attempts to build new factories.

Moderna has announced that it won't be able to meet its current contract goals.

Johnson & Johnson still hasn't gotten FDA approval.

But getting more vaccine out is an example of where giving out such money would totally in the public’s best interests. The companies can quickly roll out manufacturing facilities that increases supply.

Even though it is disquieting. BTW, I'm pretty sure he's referring to infectious disease expert journalist Laurie Garrett, as she's made the rounds on the Rachel Maddow Show and PBS's NewsHour with Judy Woodruff amongst others in case any wondered who Laurie is.

She also mentioned a new variant in the Amazon that's apparently more infectious than the one in South Africa.

pulled to please Diaper Don and his Gang of thieves. My Spouse and I were told yesterday that we would expect to get our Shots by March 1st. Now all bets are off. Had a hunch knowing the operations of Distribution, and specifically specialized Cold Storage and Handling of Bio materials, this whole program smelled to high hell and back.

Just more of Diaper Don's Bullshit Lies.

There's no way he doesn't have access to that information, and yet he spent today reiterating his bold plans for his first 100 days.

Neither seem to be producing at the pace they claimed they'd be able to by the start of this year. My fear is that by the time it is finally available to the general public that the group who is getting their vaccines now will need vaccines once again.

See: https://www.sun-sentinel.com/coronavirus/fl-ne-covid-florida-vaccine-overdue-20210115-fgs6z7fbljesfpsunlq7u7sxmu-story.html

A total of 40,661 people in Florida are overdue for their second shot of the COVID vaccine, a figure that has grown steadily through the week.

The two vaccines approved for use in the United States each require a booster shot after either three or four weeks, depending on the vaccine. While 79,552 people in Florida have received both shots, the number of people who failed to obtain the second shot has nearly quadrupled over the past four days, according to figures released Friday by the Florida Department of Health.

However, the article went on to say it was not a problem of vaccine availability since Florida has been issued around 2-million doses. Sounds like poor coordination and planning to me.

The frightening part is that those 40K people receiving early doses are the one needing immunity the most.

OTTAWA -- Over the next month Canada will be experiencing a “temporary” delay in Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine shipments due to the pharmaceutical giant’s expansion plans at its European manufacturing facility, with the shortage resulting in an average of 50 per cent of coming doses delayed each week.

While shipments will continue in the coming weeks, the amount of doses in them will be lessened, sometimes by hundreds of thousands of doses.

“Pfizer has confirmed that Canada's deliveries will be impacted for the next four weeks. We will see an average reduction over this timeframe of 50 per cent of expected deliveries. There will minimal impact next week… The most profound impact will be in the week of January 25,” said Maj.-Gen. Dany Fortin, who is leading Canada’s logistical rollout.

Several EU countries are receiving significantly fewer doses of the Pfizer coronavirus vaccine than expected, after the US firm slowed shipments.

Six nations called the situation "unacceptable" and warned it "decreases the credibility of the vaccination process".

Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia urged the EU to apply pressure on Pfizer-BioNTech.

Pfizer said the reduced deliveries were a temporary issue.

In a statement on Friday, the drugmaker said shipments were being affected by changes to its manufacturing processes designed to boost production.

"Although this will temporarily impact shipments in late January to early February, it will provide a significant increase in doses available for patients in late February and March," Pfizer said.

Pfizer has 3 manufacturing plants for the vaccine in the US: https://cen.acs.org/business/outsourcing/Pfizer-Moderna-ready-vaccine-manufacturing/98/i46

There is no talk of the US plants being slowed down.

It would be helpful to give your sources, which will explain things a lot better than your own one sentence summaries.
