A magistrate judge in Western Arkansas had denied the government's motion to hold Barnett pending trial, but Judge Beryl HOWELL took quick action to prevent Barnett from getting out.

She also approved a transfer from Arkansas to DC.

My very liberal in-laws live there so we visit several times a year. Outside of Little Rock the state is heavily rural, conservative and rednecks abound. It's amazing that it's a state that produced a Dem president. I wish the Clintons would come back to revive the Democratic party there.
