Actually I heard that rather than destroying your phones, your better option is to go to your local fbi office and turn your phones in. Then they can’t track you bc they have the phone.

Doesn’t matter if they destroy it now. The digital trail still exists with the cell provider and is linked to their accounts. The only chance someone would have had to evade this is going in without any transmitting device and had their face completely covered.
