If he pardons them for any federal charges, can DC still charge them?

(7,077 posts)And a mass pardon of individuals for a crime in which the president himself engaged would be a highly suspect abuse of the pardon power, one which solves little.
Still, I have a sneaking suspicion he may try it.

(14,004 posts)Theres nothing in it for him. He knows if he did that then he would look even more guilty and more likely that he gets criminally charged, IMO.

(45,003 posts)A pardon might keep them out of federal prison but life is essentially over. They'll be on the no-fly list and probably a no-hire list. Maybe their banks will toss them with their no-terrorist policies. They'll be social pariahs and may as well leave to Sudan or some other country but here.
