Chef Jose Andres is feeding troops in DC

Hey everyone...just finished delivering hot stews to some of the National Guard & others on this rainy night in DC. I know there’s a lot of concern about the Guard...but our city & many restaurants are making sure everyone is taken care of! One Guardsman had a message to share...

(Yes, I realize that is a sports metaphor AND a pun) in times of strife to feed and care for those in need.

It has been continual.

And that hot meal means a lot to everyone receiving them. It is comforting to get a good hot meal in times of crisis.

because those troupes have a job right now that I'm sure is giving them some mental distress. They need whatever can help the heavy hearts many may be dealing with.

Having to guard your own country from fellow countrymen, that's got to hurt somewhat.

They've gotten lots of support and donations like food and coffee, and Washingtonians have been treating them great.

Chef thanked him for his service.

Very short version, hope this helps!

Sorry, I couldn't quite catch his name however. He wanted to thank the businesses, restaurants and citizens for all the donations for food and coffee. They're all very appreciative of all the support that they've been getting.

Not everyone can eat pizza due to multiple digestive and inflammatory issues from consuming it.

They are adults and know what they can and cannot eat.

Find and post other links that are sending other food to the troops and post it here too. The more the merrier.

He should be one of Joe's first Medal of Freedom recipients.

... if Trump hasn't cheapened it by now with his other awardees.
