wear a tan suit. Or try to kneel.

That kind of violent extremism is just unforgivable.

I wouldn't have voted for him if I thought he was a perpetual liar like Trump, but it also made me think...

Hypothetically, how would some Democrats have reacted if Biden had lost and he kept repeating the LIE that he won and it was stolen from him?

I suspect that some of us would be frothing at the mouth.

I seriously doubt it would be as bad as the Trump cultists, given evidence and numerous court cases which indicate otherwise, but there'd probably be a few people who believed the repeated lies and ready to kill.

Had Biden lost by a few hundred votes in one key state, Repugs have already shown us how they'd react to any reaction on his part - no matter how merited or cautious:

And that was 20 years ago. The far right was downright quaint in their viciousness, compared to today's.

And the hand-counts that were done weeks later, after the Supreme Court put an end to it and Gore conceded, showed that Gore won Florida.

Well, it depended on how they were counted. Ironically, if the most liberal counting rules were applied (such as dimples), which Gore's team had supported, then Bush still won.

The electoral college sucks, period.

Edit: I guess my main point was that Trump is almost totally at fault for the current turmoil because of his lies. I'd hope that Democrats wouldn't be as gullible as his supporters, though.

I lived in Orange County, CA, at the time - which as you know, was still a deep-red area in 2000 (especially the whiter southern half).

'Sore Loserman' bumper stickers were a common sight, and getting into an argument over Gore v. Bush was tantamount to being verbally ambushed.

So one learned to keep one's Democratic leanings to oneself - until the 2008 Bush calamity.

O.C. hasn't been reliably Republican since.

... the sorest winners too. They're chock-full of bullies and cruel people, so logically they're turned off by Democrats promoting fairness and kindness.

A lot of them were mistreated as children, and are drawn to leaders (the 'parents') who are most given to cruelty.

And then - as in 2007/08 - they're shocked when said cruelty in turned on them.

Qué será.

Joe is very calming. I got a Biden hug at one fundraiser when we discussed stuttering.

I was listening to Joe introduce the scientific team and he was very excited. This made me smile
