AOC

As a staunch supporter of President Joe Biden I really don't understand how AOC perceives her role within the party. I'm having trouble with her stance on Biden's proposals before they even get introduced to congress. She seems very bright and perceptive and could be a huge help to the president.

Being the target of the right wing is a good sign.
Her entire platform is needed and achievable but it needs better marketing and I think Joe should have said in general election that the green new deal should be the goal of all countries, which cannot be achieved in one term or two, but rest assured we must start walking toward that goal.
I also cringe with AOC criticism of the $2000 stimulus. The Democrats bill proposed $1200, McConnell cut that to $600?and for 3 weeks we were frozen there with people needing help. Then Dems agreed to $600 which Trump criticized should be $2000, when Joe agreed with $2000 but the bill was signed at $600. Joe is proposing another $1400 to make the total relief $2000. It was never more than that. On this issue, AOC should back away and agree. She is tainting a very big feather for the Joe and the Dems.

Try to add another $1400 and the GOP says nothing. Then moderates like Joe Manchin come in with a compromise for half the $1400. Start at a higher number so when the moderates move in with a compromise it’s higher.

As if she is definitely on his side, but is sort of holding his feet to the fire in attempts to be sure he keeps his promises and doesn't let it get to far back to "business as usual" and "they were campaign promises" and are not really meant to come through.Which seems to be the norm for the last 40 or 50 years or so

Joe Biden understands what is happening and expects it. It’s politics. By AOC pushing from the left Republicans will consider that when they vote for what President Biden settles on. There will also be some push from more “centrist” Democrats like Senator Manchin. We need Representatives like AOC for balance and tactical negotiations.

Nothing wrong with her sticking up for what she believes in. She just needs to remember what Biden did for the country.

While they are all Dems, some fly closer to Republican values. That is NOT true for AOC.

I feel like he is going to torpedo Biden's agenda far, far more than anyone else.

And, yes, swarm... it is better to have a person with a D rather than an R after their name.

State in the union. Biden will propose measures that will greatl benefit W.Va.
and I don't think he will resist help for his own people.
