Why Trump will not be inclined to pardon the insurrectionists (mob)?

Because he does everything in his own self interest.

If he were to pardon these criminals, he would probably blow whatever chance he has of being acquitted after the trial in the Senate?

At present, it is probably a close call?

But, if he pardons them, the Senate would probably have no choice but to convict.

He will do what he thinks is best for Donald.

Why would Trump think he needs to reward them when he got nothing out of it.

and saying the rioters were wrong to get violent really pissed them off. Many of the hard core want his head about now, and they've said so.

I'll be surprised if he pardons them, but this asshole is so full of crap, I shouldn't be surprised by anything he does at this point.

and thought it was the most fun not getting a pardon and the look on her face as she realizes she will be convicted and spend 10-20 years in prison for sedition.

He probably has more to lose by doing the pardons. Obviously morality won't come in to his decision so he will have to decide which direction benefits him the most and hurts him the least.

The cop who got killed, any cop injured on the capital etc. Also other states following what NY is doing and kicking out all of his businesses. Not to mention damaging his brand more obviously. Fear of losing more money is the one thing that seems to sort of keep him in check so I think me may be just barely smart enough not to incriminate himself even further.

I may not matter whether he wants to or not , his pardon power does not apply to impeachment and that entire ruckus is part of the impeachment so might get interesting if he tries.

He can pardon people involved in matters related to his impeachment. He just can't use the pardon power to stop someone from being impeached or to wipe out a Senate conviction in an impeachment.

But, if he cannot sell it to his allies in the US Senate, it would be no good reason to pardon anyone involved in the insurrection. It could sway the Senate to convict, which is the last thing he wants at this time. He needs the benefits that he would retain by not being convicted.
