Sadness. Anger. Disgust. South Florida supporters of President Donald Trump say those are the emotions theyre feeling as they contemplate the end of his presidency and the inauguration of President-elect Joe Biden.
Some are in mourning, expressing feelings of despair, and wont even watch the new presidents inauguration on TV. Others have heard so many claims that Biden and other Democrats are socialists that they say theyre apprehensive. And some are expressing rage at Republican leaders they think didnt do enough to keep Trump in office.
Goldfarb, of Pembroke Pines, campaigned for Trump in 2016 and was an alternate delegate on his behalf to the Republican National Convention in Cleveland and continued working on his behalf through his unsuccessful re-election effort.

(8,086 posts)and how they felt after "losing" an election in which the Democratic candidate won the popular vote by millions, and lost the Electoral College at least in part through voter suppression and foreign interference.
I guess i must have missed all those in-depth stories of what Clinton supporters were feeling, their sorrow and anxiety. No "we must understand where the Clinton supporters are coming from," no panels of Clinton supporters featured on nightly news programs.
But here we go again, delving into the "trauma" of die-hard Trump fans.
Ugh.

(23,369 posts)It's how I felt in November 2016. Kicked in the gut. Demoralized. Shocked.
And, as your T-shirts say, "Fuck your feelings".

(9,132 posts)I not only mourned Hillarys loss, but the beginning of the end of the American Experiment and the shattering of my misconceptions Id had about the good judgement and common decency that Id thought remained among the American electorate.
The belief that our country was indeed a City on the Hill
was not confined to clueless right-wingers. I, too, believed that America was the best hope of the world and it broke my heart to see the lights fade to dark as the electoral votes were tallied in the aftermath of the 2016 elections.
Im still angry at Trump supporters and Im particularly angry at the fools who continue to believe his regime horse (excrement) despite half a decades worth of evidence to the contrary. I have little pity for them: they had the tools for wising up and refused to use them.
I doubt that these people will ever wise up. Een so, I dearly hope this is a better country than what they and their idol sought to bequeath to us.
