where the Governor can replace her with another Dem? Or is there a special election, etc. I'd hate to see us lose a seat.

Four years after she was sworn-in as a US Senator, Vice President-elect Kamala Harris has resigned (effective at noon today).

Her replacement, @AlexPadilla4CA, is headed to Washington today.
