No deal.

(58,719 posts)The House votes on impeachment, Senate has nothing to do with that part of it. They can't make it go away.
Per the Constitution, the Senate is obligated to try the impeachment.
Once again, a Repub is showcasing his ignorance.

(25,988 posts)I believe its pushing the envelope to see how much can be gotten away with, which is worse than ignorance IMO.

(10,159 posts)Mitch is still in charge of the Senate until the 3 new senators and VP Harris are sworn in. And - you should know this, Lindsey, you've been through 2 impeachment trials already - the Senate can't do anything until Speaker Pelosi formally sends you the articles of impeachment.
What are you worried about? Is there something about your actions on Jan. 6 that you don't want coming to light? Or is Donnie threatening to release some information about you that you'd rather not see the light of day?

I only see reports that Graham is complaining about the impeachment, but nothing about any intention of his to somehow void it.
I always look for confirmation before commenting on unsubstantiated claims like this one.
