Every rule has exceptions. I get not wanting to lock up ex-presidents

But an attempted coup of our government has to be
one.

Joe should let justice roll down like water.

No other President has incited a riot and fomented a rebellion against the United States. For the sake of principle, Trump needs to be prosecuted and incarcerated.

Generally, criminal trials for former Presidents is too banana republic-like.

Inciting an insurrection is an exception that proves the rule.
