5. What I can't figure out

is how can you bring 5 random people to a military base? Don't they have to go through a background check process, or is just having a RealID or passport OK?

8. I don't know how similar the circumstances are, but down here in Southern California

We often have air shows that take place in Edward's Air Force Base, and it is open to the public.

They have armed guards at the entrance and you might have to show I.D. at the checkpoint, but that's about it. There is only a limited area that the public is allowed in. I would assume it's the same sort of deal.
