Election Day, I'm all in.
Not inauguration day. Plenty of inauguration days are for the person already in office. No change.
,72, '84, '96, '04, & '12. 5 of 13 inaugurations.
And '88 didn't represent change.
So, close to half.
It doesn't really represent change, IMO.

Edited to ass-

And an important national day to see where our political reality is. A Federal Holiday can get both sides out to let this country know where it stands. If Trump had been successful in stealing another 4 years, I'd want this to be a federal holiday where you get to show your support (or not) for the election results. It would have been interesting in 2016.

And if PINO had won, would we be pleased to affirm the continuation?
I answered the question you posed. To THAT question, I stand by my opinion?

Because this was also part of my OP...."Or, when appropriate, the continuation of our Democracy."

If PINO had stolen the election again, I'd want everyone in the street on Inauguration Day to let Trump know how big and deep his opposition is. Conversely, let the Freedumb Coalition demonstrate how unfair it is that Trump was denied a 2nd term. They can own their ignorance and irrelevance.

I worked in downtown DC for decades and always got it off. Still can’t get used to not having it off!

Fiddler on the roof. Rabbi says the Czar will die on a Jewish holiday. How do you know he will die on a Jewish holiday? Any day the Czar dies will be a Jewish holiday.

Not so much to authoritarian nations, of course.
