7. No, he's not wealthy

His mother was a U.S. Congresswoman - who was defeated in the wake of her son's scandal - and he was a talented, rising political star until he was elected mayor and got caught up in his own hype. His family is not well-off and he's been in jail for several years. He's got health problems and was scheduled to be released to home confinement last spring because of COVID, but for some reason was not.

He wasn't pardoned but instead had his sentence commuted. He will still be a convicted felon with all that goes along with that.
