The truth about unemployment under the last four presidents:

Under Clinton the rate dropped from 7.3% to 4.2%, down 3.1%
Under bush the rate rose from 3.1% to 7.8%, up 3.6% (more than double)
Under Obama the rate dropped from 7.8% to 4.7%, down 3.1%
Under trump the rate rose from 4.7% to 6.7% (up 2.0% in just four years)

Once again trump lied, hopefully for the last time, yesterday when he bragged about "jobs".

How in the world that's not turned into a political win we don't know yet, its time to get rid of voter suppression efforts ... make them a felony.

5. Ya, but if that includes covid times, then that 2% rise isn't bad. I know Feb 2020 we had just hit

6. The unemployment rate in the first three trump years was just a continuation of the trend....

....of Obama's last 7-1/2 years. It was not because of any of trump's policies.

That spike in early 2020 could have been a lot lower than it was had trump not ignored everything going on in the world and the country.

But the overriding point is that trump continually brags about his great "jobs numbers", which is false.

and the numbers shifting away from Obama's work, just covid caught our attention about the time we would have been having that conversation. I am going to tak about hitting recession in Feb before covid over the 2% increase in UI during covid.
