23. And FYI, he's delinquent on his property tax
Sat Jan 23, 2021, 10:24 PM
Jan 2021

Real answer: Rep. Cawthorn, R-Hendersonville, does indeed have an overdue property tax bill on file with Henderson County.

"You are correct that Mr. Cawthorn’s property tax bill is unpaid," Darlene Burgess, tax administrator for Henderson County, told me in a Jan. 20 email. "Our property tax bills became delinquent two weeks ago."

Cawthorn's bill, listed under "David Madison Cawthorn," notes he owns a home on North Rugby Road. The home's assessed value is $437,300, and the unpaid property tax totals $3,037.58.

https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.citizen-times.com/amp/4244402001

Unfortunately he supposedly represents my district. My friend told me about this so I googled it.
He declared no income. How does he have a home valued at over $400,000?

And it was not from any settlement from the car accident that paralyzed him.
Apparently he and a friend used to play this game while driving called "let's switch seats while we're driving at a high speed", which his friend testified to, so he didn't get a big payout. I think his medical bills got paid. Someone's funding this dumbass.

The yokels here will do nothing to remove him. Henderson county crawling with rethugs. My parents moved here in the 80's, I came in 2002. The weather climate is lovely, but the political climate sucks. I have a strong desire to return to the blue northeast, although lately I've been considering heading a few miles South, the Georgia.

Next I was shocked how she worked him over.

When she asked him if he trusted his election results, since NC did the same thing he was accusing the 6 states in question, I actually yelled out.

Forced him to admit the Democratic Governor and AG in NC did a great job securing their election.

You could tell she was nervous, but she powered thru and did her job. I hope to see more of her.

Unfortunately, I don’t see any more republicans agreeing to be interviewed by her.

. . .when it comes to embellishment and exaggeration.

Seems the prick lied about his training for the Paralympic Games. . .just like he embellished his education, business record, and why he was rejected for the Naval Academy.

https://www.thenation.com/article/politics/madison-cawthorn-paralympics/

Elite disabled athletes were aware of Madison Cawthorn long before he ran for office — because his Instagram was a running joke. “We would share whatever posts he put up and be like, ‘Look at what batshit thing he said about the Paralympics this week'. . .
The claims he was making were just so absurd, you have to find some humor in it."

If I'm not mistaken, the statutes give the election commission and local clerks the responsibility for how votes are collected. The legislature has nothing to do with it.

he's an idiot.

On edit, the judge ruled "no standing" because the plaintiffs could not prove that they suffered damage because of the "drop boxes"
