None of her family, friends, coworkers, not one person in a mask except me.

She had requested donations to the local Animal Shelter. I put my check in the envelope there, and just left. Spoke briefly to her son who I ran into just outside the funeral home.

He died of a virus his family is trying to keep them safe from..I don’t get it. My cousin died of Covid n pneumonia complications just Monday. We are not having a service now. We’ll get together later n celebrate her but we feel now is not the time as some people may act like some of these people. We would hope not but.. this family didn’t expect this, I’ll bet. So sad.

That feneral home does not deserve to stay in business.

Does saying stories like this one make me deeply grateful to live in a blue state mean I'm a terrible person? Because they do, and I am grateful.

No social distance whatsoever at the funeral home. If I had known that I wouldn't have went.
