Their Threats Demand More Press Conferences, More Headlines, More Lincoln Project

John Cornyn and his cult crew are tit-for-tat 3rd grade mentalities, 3rd rate gamers and breakers who don't deserve the name 'politician,' nevermind the elected offices they hold.

For these men to encourage, facilitate, participate and possibly help plan this anti-democratic insurrection on January 6;

For these men to so corruptly try to force injustice this way on the 81 million who voted for the current president -- to threaten past presidents (??!!) and current leaders who represent that 81 million in order to stop the trial of this high crime -- makes them accessories after the fact.

John Cornyn
Josh Hawley
Ted Cruz

Andy Biggs
Paul Gosar
Madison Cawthorn

Mo Brooks
Mark Finchem
Anthony Kern
Scott Perry

18 US Code § 3 - Accessory after the fact
"Whoever, knowing that an offense against the United States has been committed, receives, relieves, comforts or assists the offender in order to hinder or prevent his apprehension, trial or punishment, is an accessory after the fact."

To not enforce the Constitution in a Senate trial, and for the DOJ's FBI to even "debate" enforcing rule of law is to tell the American people that there is no equality before the law at all -- not constitutional or statutory law.

But oath takers know this trial is the right thing to do in Congress, and the DOJ knows that arresting lawbreakers is the right thing to do in society:
“There is absolute resolve from the Department of Justice to hold all who intentionally engaged in criminal acts at the Capitol accountable,” Justice Department spokesman Marc Raimondi said in an email. “We have consistently made clear that we will follow the facts and evidence and charge individuals accordingly..."

If everyone does their job for the 81 million who voted, and the nation those voters now represent, these cultists' evil bullshit will stop.

Never give in to the fascist Right.

Their threats demand more press conferences, more headlines, more Lincoln Project.

The GOP needs to be held accountable at every level. Americans must utter these traitors' names like we remember Brutus or Benedict Arnold. Bring Barr to his knees and force him to admit why he resigned when he did. He knows all and the govt and media must be sure that he answers for his crimes and his boss's crimes as well. Bring Mitch to his knees too. All of them must be exposed for the greedy traitors and hypocritical criminals they are. Show no mercy, they deserve none!

* On what grounds would they impeach past Democratic presidents?
* What articles of impeachment would they provide now for what impeachable offenses then?
* If they're now claiming impeachable offenses, why weren't they impeachable while that president was still in office and why wasn't he impeached at the time?

These are not serious threats, they're theater and juvenile petulance. There should be absolutely no hand wringing or consternation on the part of anyone, and Cornyn et al should be laughed out of the Senate.

They are threats. Anyone who backs Cornyn to "hinder... the trial" of the ex-president in this constitutional process is a threat to a constitutional democratic process.

I think they're serious. The fact that junvenile petulance theater drives them doesn't in any way excuse them from their oaths.

You might remember that we've already tried all that stuff about 'moral' persuasion and laughing.

We got here by tolerating their incorrigibly corrupt political approach. No more.

It's time to enforce the law.

I guess ya, they had better impeach him so he cant run again.

Go ahead and waste your time with that while Trump forms his own political party who's sole purpose for existing is to exact revenge on the very Republican Party that didnt worship him ENOUGH for his last month in office.

We'll wait (the ass-kicking we've saved up for you isnt going ANYWHERE)

I keep hearing Republicans calling for "unity", but then I hear them saying we need to "forgive & forget". Isn't this the "Party Of Law And Order"? So what am I supposed to do? Ignore law and order, or forget all the treason the GOP is partner to?

As I look at their requests, I think about another criminal matter, Charles Manson & his followers. All of them went to prison including Chuck, who only encouraged his followers. So why should we consider Donald any differently?

What is to become of our country of we choose to follow the "unity" concept?

As for any Republican twisting of "unity," "divisiveness," or "cancel culture"...

Republican unity = submission to their terms

They were the divisionists who ALWAYS expect their opponents to "give in" to their twisted mindfuck demands.

When they lose every cynical ploy, every argument, every violent effort, they always say, "See how divisive you are?" like the abusing husband when the wife walks away.

inciting and abetting a mob to disrupt the lawful process of confirming an elected president of the opposite party? Not to mention murdering police, threatening to take hostages and kill members of the other party while trashing their offices and the building.

It's like a playground bully alienating all the other kids by stealing their lunch money and beating them up, then complaining to the teacher that they're mean because won't play with him.

Both Mussolini and Adolph claimed to be "socialist" party leaders working for the people.

Nazi originated as Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei or NSDAP which translates to National Socialist German Workers' Party

This certainly gave Socialism a bad name and it appears they knew as much about Socialism as modern USAans do. Fascism actually doesn't care which is the dominant wing as long as it has a foil to subjugate.

And they certainly don't apply to constitutional issues of the OP.

No, the left cannot be fascist. Tell that to Bernie and see what happens.

When Big Corp runs government or a good chunk of it, when they run the means of production including military and law enforcement sectors, whether they're in China, Russia, or Riyadh, they're fascist.

Perhaps you don't realize that by proclaiming that it is both, you are promoting a RW talking point.

Let me clear up some confusion you seem to have. Dictatorship can come from the right or the left. Stalin was an extreme leftist dictator. Hitler was an extreme right dictator.

Fascism is from the extreme right wing. Hitler took over leadership of a socialist party and turned it fascist. That's where the party name came from. Beware of taking political names at face value, like the People's Republic of China.

Ignorance of the law is even less an excuse for them than for anyone else, because they're elected to that standard of accountability. And just because play tough for the folks back home, doesn't mean they're off the hook. Their folks back home need to learn that.
