Biden's Schedule for Sunday, January 24, 2021

I had been thinking of stopping the posting of these threads, on the grounds of what's so interesting about someone who gets up in the morning, goes to work, breaks for lunch, goes back to work, stops for the day, has some dinner, and goes to bed?

It turns out that people are reading these, so I guess I'll keep posting for a while.

It's just as well that Biden is not a golfer, as it is cold in DC this morning. If he or Harris go anywhere, they'll have to dress like Bernie.

There's not much on the schedule for today.

Bagels go right to my ass, like donuts and cookies and...well pretty much anything that tastes good.

Isn't that when Biden should be watching tv news and tweeting about it? I'm pretty sure that's how you dismantle ISIS, single-handedly increase GDP by 8% and end the trade imbalance with China. How will Biden do the most for African Americans than any other President ever without tweeting?

who actually works. Not just pretends to work or mostly has ceremonial duties or photo ops.

tRump took the job (some would say stole the job) and totally turned it upside down. He said he would be too busy working to play golf. But that was just another lie among many. It became the routine to hear lies day after day until we just grew numb to the lies. And golf took huge chunks out of his day.

Now we have a man who knows about work and is not afraid to put in a full day working for the people of the United States. It is important for us to know that. It is a new day, thank goodness.

CHATTER AWAY: Overnight Open Thread

The Washingtonian reports:

A few days into the job, and President Joe Biden has already made his first restaurant visit. After attending mass at Holy Trinity Catholic Church on Sunday, his motorcade made a bagel pitstop at Call Your Mother in Georgetown, according to pool reports.

The President didn’t actually get out of the vehicle—a Secret Service agent ducked in to pick up the order. But Biden did wave to the small crowd that quickly gathered at the scene. Call Your Mother is co-owned by Jeff Zients, who oversees the administration’s Covid-19 response.
