accept the results of the 2020 election. If they say anything other than yes, cut their mics and end the interview. Better yet, find out ahead of time and don't have them on at all.

(1,910 posts)He has 2 kids, he eventually will likely have grand children. If he wants them to have a democratic America, if he wants them to be able to breathe the air....he and all the other main streamers, needs to stop this nonsense. If Repubs want to debate tax policy, fine. If they will not say the election was fair then do not interview them.
Keep giving them oxygen, they make a come back in 2024, and the USA is over.

(6,186 posts)If they knew from experience that their mic might be shut off, they either would give a one-word answer or not agree to be interviewed. In either case, we wouldn't have to listen to their BS.
They don't have the excuse of playing to tRump's favor. He is gone, and if they what to keep him gone, stop playing his lying games.

We as a media outlet do not market in lies and fabrications wildly departing from the truth and reality. It only serves to contaminate political discourse. We do not intend to contribute to the destruction of our cherished Democratic Republic or intentionally making our systems of governance impossible or dysfunctional.
Thank You, your are welcomed to return if you confine yourself to telling the truth.

(1,910 posts)This is not a tax cut debate or a gay wedding cake debate....this is the future of the entire free world on the line.
The main stream media has got to STOP! Stop allowing them to even discuss this crap, it gives them oxygen.
For once, the CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS have got to take a stand and stop trying to give 'both sides' a chance. There is only one side. If they do not believe in democracy, stop having them on!

(2,059 posts)If "No", end the interview. The same you would if the interviewee claimed Santa Claus or the Tooth Fairy were real. Apologize for wasting the viewer's time and move on.
Media needs to regain some integrity, and playing along and allowing these cultists to spout nonsense is not gonna do it. They need to take a hard line and not entertain or give a platform to these people. Let them go on OAN and Fox with their delusions, lies, and conspiracy theories, and when someone asks "why don't they ever get interviewed on CNN?" play them the tape.

(2,593 posts)know this as does corporate media and use it as a cudgel. We (Dems) need to fully understand this simple and profound truth and hammer it home. Beliefs are the key. Information is the key. How a question is framed is often used not to obtain an answer but to sow a thought.

(9,670 posts)Remember, these Congressmen said nothing when Trump, on multiple occasions, said the media was the enemy of the people. Rather, they continued as if status quo.
The media is absolutely complicit. I wonder how wealthy they will be when state-run media is the result of their heresy.

(21,573 posts)That a new oath of office should be made. In addition to the normal bit about preserve/defend the Constitution, all politicians being sworn in should attest..........
"I acknowledge that I am taking this office as the result of a free and fair election, and I will resign my office if I question the integrity of the results of my own election."
In other words........ no one should be allowed to hold an office if they are claiming their own election was the result of fraud.

(1,850 posts)But I had another thought. Quite a few we're objecting to results in other states. So if, for example, cawthorn (my new NC rep) or Hawley disputes the presidential results from Michigan or Pennsylvania, how can he accept the new reps voted in from those states?
That question would cause a lot of blank stares.

(31,234 posts)TX town to see if they're "ok" with Biden as President. I mean, WTAF? Someone please alert the media that Biden/Harris won 7+ million more votes than Trump, and we don't garner 1/10 of the attention as the dead enders of the Trump cult.

(1,850 posts)So there's a record, and an audience.
But before asking that, ask if they their own election was fair and valid? Especially for representatives who were elected in states that are in question.
Then ask about the presidential election.
Expose them, and then cut them off.
