whether we should try for 100 million vaccines given in 100 days. Of course we should try, we may not succeed, but the Trump administration DID NOT REALLY TRY. Which is better making an effort and not quite succeeding or pretending it cannot be done so sitting around????

(11,631 posts)...isn't there some debate about how much of the vaccine should be given in the short term because those people will need a 2nd dose in 4-6 weeks? I understand the goal is to increase production to meet demand but there is some risk involved in going all in and vaccinating as many as possible in the short term considering the available vaccines require two shots...

Rather they set a high goal and be open and honest to the reality than they make promises they can't keep and downplay setbacks and spin small achievements as great wins.
