About those thousands of complaint in Wisconsin

https://madison.com/wsj/news/local/govt-and-politics/elections/in-thousands-of-complaints-about-wisconsin-election-none-we-could-substantiate/article_e7f37ef6-4072-536c-aea6-4427de4fcc99.html

In 'thousands of complaints' about Wisconsin election, few that could be substantiated

In December, with then-President Donald Trump continuing to falsely claim that massive fraud and other voting irregularities had denied him a second term, top Republicans in the Wisconsin Legislature said they were reviewing “thousands of complaints” about the Nov. 3 election.

There were indeed thousands of complaints in the emails sent between Nov. 3 and Dec. 8 to lawmakers investigating the election.

The majority of them, however, were mass-generated form letters making nonspecific claims about alleged irregularities, a right-wing fraud-finding effort and a clip from Fox’s Sean Hannity show. Others implored Republican lawmakers to overturn an election they were convinced was rigged, even though local, state and national officials have confirmed its integrity.

The Wisconsin State Journal was able to identify just 28 allegations of election fraud or other irregularities that were specific enough to attempt to verify, but could only partially substantiate one, involving 42 votes. Interviews with dozens of prosecutors, election officials and people who lodged complaints made clear that most, if not all, of the allegations could be chalked up to hearsay or minor administrative errors.

The bullshite Rand Paul (who's crazy) is peddling is made up out of thin air. These people should not get any air time on national networks because some will believe the nut. We have to stop allowing them to spew lies over and over because it does work!

Also, funny how they weren't this rabid about looking closely at Wisconsin and what went on in ALL of the Walker elections, which Roger Stone said were cheated. We had a Waukesha County Clerk , Kathleen Nickolaus, counting votes in her basement and recording her so-called findings on her own personal computer. Stone has actually said the last five of our elections (prior to the election of Tony Evers) were crooked in favor of the Republicans but all investigations were shot down by our lowdown Republican party.

Stone thought it was a riot that we were being steamrolled, and dollars to donuts they cheated the Trump win in 2016.

4. What was Rand talking about allowing votes without address? Oregon mail in for decades, we do not

have an address. I do not think, not remembering. I am registered so they have the info, but I do not have to write address when I mail in ballot. Shit, they are mailing it to me, so of course they have address. What was that bullshit?

That was what I was looking up when I found this article.

I just found this. Basically Paul was is lying. I know surprise, surprise. By law the clerks are allowed to fix the ballots with missing info.

It relies in part on a WISN radio story out of Milwaukee that makes a similar claim. The claim was also widely circulated by conservative websites.

On Nov. 12, the Daily Wire updated its headline and story to reflect the findings of this fact-check.

Wisconsin Republicans have latched onto the issue in their longshot effort to overturn the state's presidential results – four years after members of their own party pushed to allow clerks to fill in missing witness information.

Matching sign in sheets with poll books and vote results. By hand, themselves. I doubt they realize the on the ground mechanics of a polling place. Should have to match the mail in with the poll register

11. Wisconsin has a republican led legislation AND a stacked republican supreme court PERIOD!

Since the day Scott Walker entered Wisconsin politics, they have bent the power in the state toward republican PERIOD!

Rand Paul's (in an earlier DU post) gave the example of how absentee ballot requirements were changed without the legislator and the courts, then he IS WRONG!

IF there was any possibility for intervention by the legislators or the court, they would have DONE IT! That did not happen; those republican entities didn't just quietly lay down and not act.

The republicans, for years, have used every tactic they could to SUPPRESS voter rights and access. You name a voter suppression scheme, and they have used it in Wisconsin.

One final point Ron Johnson (aka RoJo) is a Wisconsin senator and a tRump supporter. Does Rand Paul think RoJo just laid down without a whimper of course not?

This time the repugs couldn't force their lies down our throats; they have played that card too many times, and the voters know it.

The one thing Rand Paul is right about there are two sides, and this SIDE says in the case of Wisconsin, HE is f***ing WRONG!
