And if he knew it, why didn't he stop the plot to decapitate Congress and hang the VP?
He must be brought to testify under oath, using the powers of the House for inherent contempt if necessary.
Last time he was subpoenaed, it too six months to get him to appear.
America can't wait.

(28,476 posts)This is why he resigned before Congress met to certify the vote. He knew what was going to go down and finally, Trump was going too far for him to protect what little of his post-presidency reputation if he stayed through until the inauguration.

(19,988 posts)It's possible that he played a big part in the planning (DOJ/Jeffrey Clark) and figured that bailing out just before it went down would remove him from suspicion.

(294 posts)He though he was attorney for the president and rather than violate the attorney/client privilege and reveal a "privileged communication" he quit. That traitor owed a higher
duty of care to the Nation because he was Attorney General OF THE UNITED STATES,
not Trump.

(7,901 posts)He has no respect for Congress or the Senate whom he considers dupes, fools and amateurs. Being the elitist autocrat he is, he views power as vested in the Executive and the Cabinet professionals.
He'll lie as he has before, under oath and in any weather.
I suspect he has deep connections inside the GOP establishment.

When was the last time that any congressional inquiry like this ended up in any justice? They have no ability to hand out sentences or any kind of retribution.
