First, does the word "conservative" even many anything
other than nazi asshole any more? No it doesn't.

And secondly, I have no issues with nazi assholes being
muzzled since you are all a serious danger to society,
this country, and the world!

So just shut the fuck up and learn to be a human being
for once.

18. The word "conservative".
Mon Jan 25, 2021, 07:49 PM
Jan 2021

There is what conservatives want everyone to believe about them:

For "small government".
For Family values
For fiscal responsibility
For "State's rights"
For free markets

AND what they are really about:

Defending the idea that people are fundamentally unequal. That there is a "natural order" in which the wealthy, White, primarily Protestant Christian, Men who are in charge, are there because they are ordained by god to be in charge. They don't want government to be used in ANY way that tries to make up for any past injustices or current systems that disadvantage minorities and women because it is the NATURAL ORDER for them to be subservient. These people are the heirs to the defense of monarchical forms of government, where rule was by "divine right".

Conservatism unrestrained by conscience or electoral losses will always move toward fascism.

If you hold me accountable for any damage I cause because of my lies, hate, and ignorance then you're also muzzling me!

If you challenge me or hold me accountable me then you're muzzling America! Because - America!

And I am a real American! All real Americans say the things I say!

All real Americans believe the things I believe!

If you hold me accountable then you're not a real American!

Because that's what he is saying. The exact same bullshit the republican party has been saying for decades.

"BY BRYAN LOWRY, JONATHAN SHORMAN, AND ERIC ADLER
JANUARY 24, 2021

WASHINGTON
Josh Hawley was a precocious 15-year-old in 1995, writing a regular column for his hometown paper, The Lexington News, when he was still in high school.

He used the early platform to opine on politics, culture and those he believed had been unfairly maligned by the media — among them anti-government militias and Los Angeles police detective Mark Fuhrman.

Hawley warned against depicting all militia members as domestic terrorists after the Oklahoma City bombing, which killed 168 people, including 19 children. Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols, who carried out the attack on the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building, had ties to the Michigan Militia.

“Many of the people populating these movements are not radical, right-wing, pro-assault weapons freaks as they were originally stereotyped,” Hawley wrote two months after the bombing.

He argued that middle class Americans had gravitated to anti-government organizations out of genuine concerns about federal overreach and a disillusionment with mainstream politics.

“Dismissed by the media and treated with disdain by their elected leaders, these citizens come together and form groups that often draw more media fire as anti-government hate gatherings,” Hawley said.

“Feeling alienated from their government and the rest of society, they often become disenchanted and slip into talks of ‘conspiracy theories’ about how the federal government is out to get them.”

Fuhrman, whose use of racial slurs came to light during the O.J. Simpson trial, was the victim of a new censoriousness that plagued the culture, in Hawley’s estimation.

“In this politically correct society, derogatory labels such as ‘racist’ are widely misused, and our ability to have open debate is eroding,” he wrote."

Mon Jan 25, 2021, 09:06 PM

I am wondering if his defense of the rights of speech were so vehement when it came to leftist groups who were challenging the paradigm of capitalism and advocating for classless society?

I mean, I'm sure that he knows that Socialists and Communists in this country have Actually been put on blacklists, had their careers destroyed, and have actually been censored.

I am sure he read up on McCarthyism and the Red Scare history of the United States.

Also, I am sure that he was an adamant champion of the Civil Rights leaders who were also blacklisted and jailed for their protest of injustice, of groups like the Black Panthers and SNCC who were infiltrated and targeted by the actual US government, who wanted those movements destroyed.

It always seems that these White guys only seem to decry the death of free speech when it comes to right wing speech. Their arguments are NEVER in good faith and should be treated as such.

Instead of disrupting the professor's discussion, you should have been studying Constitutional Law. Just in the past few days, you've shown us that you're clueless about the First Amendment etc.

And by the way: Mark Fuhrman LIED under oath in the OJ Simpson criminal trial. You do understand that, don't you?

Never mind, Josh: you apparently were in favor of the types of folks behind the Oklahoma City bombing as a teenager.

No wonder you've turned out as pathetic as you did. You have clearly demonstrated the Peter Principle.

as Ben Shapiro, Candace Owens, and Milo Yiannopolis. More interested in shutting down opinions or ideas that they disagree with than debating the fact of them. Those practitioners of the Gish Gallop, throw enough crap at the wall people don't have time to think of the quality or accuracy of the argument. Of course, none of those people have held office when being mercenary is far more lucrative.
