Could this impeachment have been planned ploy by Trump?

It bothers me that the GOPers are turning tail back to Trump’s side. I wonder if this was all this a plan by Trump and the GOPers to solidify the base for their future needs? What I mean by this? They won’t get 17 GOPers to convict Trump. What do they have to lose? Nothing. Mitch McConnell is still playing for control of the Senate by staling anything can. It may be a embarrassing moment for the country, but the GOPers don’t care! They rather have the power. So, here it lays on upon the Democrats to the right thing, but maybe it is all for not? Just a thought, but a concern that the Democrats will not be happy with the outcome of all this?

what the outcome might be. He's not a brilliant criminal mastermind playing five-dimensional chess. He only reacts to what's going on in the moment.

real consequences for trump. He’s already been removed by the ultimate court, voters. He’s not going to lose his pension or other Presidential perks. Possibly he might be precluded from running in 2024, but even if he’s still alive it’s not liked he’ll run.

But I doubt trump planned it.

... candidates from raising anything of note.

Then in the end not run at all, cause he's an asshole but the fundraising for MAGA will be stank.

People are underestimating how much of a cult following Putin's Whore has, I think Moscow Mitch is aware now and is pissing himself trying to get Trump out of running for 2024 so something like the aforementioned wont happen.

At minimum Red Don is a king maker in the primaries, not that any of this is good for the kGOP but Moscow Mitch made a deal with the devil and now he's gotta sleep with his stank ass.

1. Republicans don't vote to convict.
2. Trump is found guilty of tax fraud.
3. Trump is found guilty of defamation.
4. Trump has to sell his assets under duress.
5. Trump is radioactive.

Plus more and more people will die because Drumpf did nothing. More stuff will leak out. More books will be written.

Democrats need to present a hard hitting case that portrays Trump and his insurgent army as lawless traitors to the Constitution. Let the Senate have to back a disgraced ex-president who caused police officers to be killed. I don’t think any of this will help the GOP at all.

to build their case.

Ciccilini is a tiger. I want him to be the chief prosecutor. Once the evidence is thoroughly presented, it will be impossible to not vote for conviction. The audience is not just violent Trumpers. Remember that GOPers who believe that the election was rigged might be at 70% right now, but the GOP consists of only 25% of eligible voters and Trumpers consist of roughly 18% of the voting public. That’s it.

GOPers might be concerned about being primaried, but they should also be concerned about their ability to gain a majority, and voting for the rabid 18% may not be the wisest of decisions.
