watching Senate majority leader Schumer on Rachel Maddow has me smiling and optimistic about the Democratic Congress. I've never seen him so pumped, so forceful, so seemingly happy to be in charge. I think there is more water in my glass today.

(32,017 posts)The glass-half full person is one who assumes and expects that everything could be worse. A glass half-full is better than nothing, such a person thinks. That person expects worse and is satisfied by a half-full glass. Thats a pessimist. The glass half-empty person is the one who believes that everything could be BETTER. The glass half-empty person hopes for better and believes that better is possible. That person wants a full glass and hopes to get it. Thats an optimist.
I acknowledge that my reading of this particular personality puzzle is not in sync with its creator. I believe that the creator is wrong and that my interpretation is better.
