Can people take it down a notch now?

Mean past few days I've seen so much shit about Schumer being weak, he needs to grow a spine, he needs to resign.

Can you y'all like...I don't know? Stop! Seems y'all severely underestimated him and tonight proves it.

Trust them. We are not in free fall, the world is ending doomsday for the Dems. Relax and see what comes. Trust them!

who in this country is not suffering from that after 4 years of trauma and incessant drama, cruelty, corruption and lies? Not to mention over 400,000 dead people and counting, babies in cages stolen from their families, unemployment, hunger, and the threat if not the reality of homelessness?

yeah. i'm having trouble shifting past freak out mode, but i'm trying really hard. I imagine we all are.

Schumer did the right thing, and now we get another notch of normalcy. sigh

I would be embarrassed to make such blatantly degrading & mocking statements about out Democratic leaders.

Sen Schumer took the power from McConnell today & drew the line as to who is calling the game play from here on.
Against someone like the crafty & dirty player Sen McConnell, THAT is a skillset of masters.

Sen Schumer accomplished a very future positive move, that was unheard of for many years until today.

We move forward indeed.

He doesn't want to come out to hard or loud and every time he speaks, his voice is a little more firm and his words and ideas more decisive.

More Dems need to do like him, Pelosi, VPAOC and President Biden by letting the reTHUGliCONS keep digging their holes bigger and deeper.

They need to continue by word and deed showing how bad for the country the traitors and seditionists are, and have been for America.

They don't need to constantly rant and rave. Just keep pushing the rethugs by showing how un-American their ideals have become a detriment to the country.

I was impressed by what Schumer said on Rachel tonight...a sense of urgency, and not wanting to repeat the tortured attempts at bipartisan action that Obama tried with no success... (not that I blame him) Learning from the past, he sounds like he is going to forge ahead on dramatic action on a number of fronts...

I think Shumer, Pelosi, and Biden-Harris are all on the same page. Talk about unity while just passing every Democratic thing they can by whatever means they can. Let the Repugs go scream into the wind on Fox News, who cares.

because of the conviction they'll quickly and inevitably cave to Republicans because they have no message, strategy or progressive policy goals; have bad intentions. A Both Sides thing.

Republicans are alternatively admired for their ruthlessness and ignored as not really having any agency -- everything is Democrats' fault for not "fighting" enough -- they could do anything they want, they just don't want to.

I'm looking forward to the next two years when all sorts of nice progressive things will get done. I chose to think these freak-outs are happening so early is because it's clear there won't be more opportunities to be cynically negative later.
