Trump's Impeachment...I have a question

Please help me to understand. I keep hearing that there needs to be 17 Republicans to agree to impeach Trump in the Senate (good luck with that!). Since the Dems have the majority now, why do they need Republicans in order to impeach him?

Let's hope some R's grow a spine, because the EVIDENCE will be overwhelming and they can't even stop it this time

Impeachment by the House of Representatives requires a simple majority.

Article I, Section 3:

The Senate shall have the sole power to try all impeachments. When sitting for that purpose, they shall be on oath or affirmation. When the President of the United States is tried, the Chief Justice shall preside: And no person shall be convicted without the concurrence of two thirds of the members present.
