The man who says "he is the richest person and can buy anything he wants"?

Well, there is a problem arising from his inability to get things done! Trump cannot get a team of lawyers together to defend his impeachment trial in the Senate.

... but he’s got a history of stiffing folks and there’s no government money behind the work. I can’t say I blame the law firms. Even a deeply Republican firm may shy away.

Karma.

It was thought to be a good choice.

Has that fallen through? Maybe trump talking about testifying caused him to "rethink" his client list......

It will be the kiss of death for his career. Trump will never listen to him. Trump will put him in legal jeopardy and won't pay him a cent, then rip his reputation to shreds with blame and attacks.

It's what trump does.

A partner in a large firm will have several partners and staff attorneys they can tap if the money is there.

But yeah, it isn't exactly a dream team. Still, it's not legal wannabe's and nut cases. Well, at least not ONLY...

COLUMBIA, S.C. — Columbia attorney Deborah Barbier has been tapped for former President Donald Trump's impeachment trial defense team, according to sources. Trump's defense team will be led by another Columbia attorney, Butch Bowers, 55, who has numerous ties to people and officials in the South Carolina Republican Party and other official circles. Former South Carolina Attorney General Charlie Condon was also mentioned Monday night on CNN as a possible member of Trump's defense team. A former federal prosecutor, Barbier, 51, works in a small law firm near downtown Columbia and often works with...

The Republican Party simply has more allegiance to the Republican Party than to America or to any principles.

Donnie doesn't need a lawyer or to even mount a defense at all.

his defense.

Frankly considering the charges reflect back on an insurrection of the capitol I imagine that even if he didn't stiff people he might have a problem finding decent lawyers.
